Ice Cream Ships and World War II

in world-war •  7 years ago  (edited)

During World War II, the US Navy had at least three floating warehouses in Pacific to serve Ice Cream to troops. How amazing is that? I became seriously curious and I tried to find more about it. Unfortunately, there isn’t a load of information available on it online. I thought sharing whatever little I could find would make a nice first post by me here. It would be awesome if anyone can add more information to this so interesting piece of history.
