Coach Gernot Rohr invites 30 players for Poland, Serbia Friendlies; Joel Obi returns to fold.

As the World Cup in Russia draws near, countries who made it to the soccer mundial have stepped up preparations towards a good showing in Russia, and the Super Eagles of Nigeria as wellas the NFF are leaving no stone unturned.

Head coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr has named a 28-man list to spearhead the upcoming friendly matches against Poland and Serbia.

Nigeria’s midfielder who plies his trade in Italy and plays for Torino has been recalled to the national team after years of absence. Also invited are Al Ahly striker Junior Ajayi, Lokomotiv Plovdiv new recruit Stephen Eze, while Akwa United’s Gabriel Okechukwu,a first time call-up to the main team has been handed an invite as well.

The Polish Football Association (PFA) have confirmed the friendly match and the spokesman of PFA, Jakub Kwiatkowski has assure that the extreme cold weather experienced in the region at this time of the year will not deter the game from being played on march 23.

Soccer loving fans who are keen to watch the friendly match between Nigeria and Poland will have to pay 160 Polish Zloty (equivalent of N17, 197.20) to buy a Category A ticket, while Categories B and C tickets will go for N12,895.20 and N9, 673.20 respectively.

Kids below the age of 12 willing to watch the game will pay a gate fee of 90zb (N8, 593.20)

Based on the arrangement, the Eagles will play Serbia four days later in England.
