hi! my name is Eli aka OONGA. I am a music producer based in Montreal. I like to make music that links folkloric and traditional sounds and rhythms with electronic production techniques. I work with the label Stonetree Records (based in Belize, they produced the Garifuna Collective, Andy Palacio, Calypso Rose, and more) where I am curating a remix project for interested producers. I also work with numerous vocalists here in Montreal.
For my first post, I am going to share with you a production I made at Tribal Gathering 2017 in Panama. We recorded these 3 tunes in a tent, using a big powered speaker for sound, and a single microphone to record all the vocals, percussions, and other instruments. Enjoy!
