Why is alpaca wool from Peru attractive?

in world •  7 years ago

Alpacas are mammals, very similar to llamas, whose fiber is tremendously warm and is processed manually. After the shearing, the finest strands are carefully chosen to be washed, dried, sorted and finally turned into threads to be able to weave. Only 4 kilos of wool can be removed annually from a single animal. Alpaca fiber leaves the plains of the Peruvian Andes and is exported to luxury stores in the United States, Asia and Europe, where it is highly valued. Almost half a kilo of this product is sold in the international market for 300 dollars
