These three goals became special for Kane for being the first captain in the history of the England team capable of doing that at the World Cup.
Kane passed Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo and Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku. Both Ronaldo and Lukaku have both scored four goals.
Of the top 10 players on this list, there are only two players from non-European countries. Roberts of Brazil, Philipe Coutinho, is ranked sixth with a collection of two goals.
In addition to Coutinho, there is Nigeria striker, Ahmed Musa who also has scored two goals.
This is interesting because in the previous edition, World Cup gold shoe winners came from South America.
Colombia national midfielder James Rodriguez became the top scorer of the 2014 World Cup with a collection of six goals.
