7 day positivity challenge day 4 🦇 "Perky Goth" 🦇

in worldgothday •  7 years ago  (edited)

Did you know today was World Goth Day? World Goth Day is celebrated May 22nd and was started in 2009 in the UK by DJs Cruel Brittania and martin oldgoth and there are events around the world.

My friends on here know I used to identify as goth, but what kind of goth was never a certainty. There's a funny website by Megan Balanck called "Goth Stereotypes"

Please check out her website for a fun and lighthearted look at the many different types of goths.

I think at some point I identified as most of these types but something I've never done is take myself too seriously. Those days are gone for me as far as fashion and trying to make a "look" and never was a lifestyle goth anyway. Never say never...

There's a joke that goes like this:

I'm not a goth.

But this is a positivity post, right?!

So today I am a perky goth inside and leave you with some perky goth music:

I was nominated by @conradt for this positivity challenge. Thank you Conradt! :)
The rules for the 7 Day Positivity Challenge:
• Write a post about something you have to be postive about today - this could be anything from being thankful for your current situation, someone being nice to you, being thankful for your friends and family, or even being thankful for the opportunity you have been given here on Steemit - just keep it positive :)
• Do this for 7 days in a row if you get nominated
• Mention three people who should do this on each day.
• Tag it with #7daypositivitychallenge and include these rules at the bottom of your post
• Include a picture of something positive (related to your story if possible)

Today I nominate:
(You're supposed to nominate 3 people but...)
Instead of tagging people I'm just going to say if you want to participate and join in please do! You can summon me @antimetica in the body of your post like I did for Conradt and I'll come read, comment, and vote if I have the VP.
