Traditional Acehnese Clothing
The Acehnese traditional clothing worn by men can be referred to as "linto baro". This outfit is divided into several parts. The top of this "linto baro" traditional dress is called a "meukasah".
This shirt is made of woven silk. In general, "meukasah" has a black color which symbolizes greatness. In addition, the "meukasah" is closed with a collar that resembles a "cheongsam" collar. On the collar to the chest there is gold embroidery.
Usually Acehnese women also wear jewelry and head coverings. One of them is the "patam dhoe" which is shaped like a crown. The center of the crown is carved to form a tendril-like motif.
On the other hand "patam dhoe" has a motif called "boengong kalimah" which is surrounded by flowers and circles.
