Howdy steemit friends and food lovers around the world!

Lechon or Roasted Pig

LOCATION: Cebu City, Philippines

CAMERA: CM Flare

Cebu is popularly known for good taste Lechon or roasted pig. This lechon was prepared by my mother's cousin. He is well known in our place for cooking tasty lechon with crispy skin. He puts many spices inside the tummy of the pig. To name a few of the spices are spring onions and garlic. He season it with salt. Then stitched the opening in the tummy to secure the stuffings inside. After that, roast the pig using charcoal. The pig is rotated many times until it is cooked.

Whatever the occasion is, lechon is always present in the celebration, be it fiestas, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, Noche buena and Media noche.
