Water, a weapon to fight COVID-19

At such unprecedented times, we are at @thegreens want to reiterate the role of water in fighting health pandemics such as the recent COVID-19.
It's World Water Day today and this year's theme is Water and Climate Change though we wish it could be Water and Health so that we can effectively raise awareness on the link between water and health.
However, climate change is exacerbating water-related challenges such as water scarcity, drought, water borne diseases,etc; hence catalyzing health challenges around the globe. When we do not have access to portable drinking water, we become prone to diseases such as typhoid, cholera, etc.
With the recent COVID-19 Pandemic, access to water has a great role to play in the fight against the virus. With clean water, we can effectively wash our hands and limit the spread of the virus. Washing our hands regularly with soap and clean water is a weapon to use in the fight against COVID-19.
On World Water Day today, we encourage you to spread the word about Water and COVID-19.
