Our world is changing continuously. There is no doubt in it. But with these changes, there are also many problems arising which are posing serious threats to human population.
Let us discuss some most common problems of the world:

DRUG ABUSE:

Drug abuse has become common worldwide so it is necessary to think drug abuse from universal perspective. Due to affordability of international travels, people from different countries have easy access to illegal drugs all across the globe.

According to World Drug Report issued by United Nations in 2017, around 29.5 million people are suffering from drug abuse disorders. The most commonly used drugs in 2017 are opioids.

According to this report, greatest harm resulting from drug abuse comes from hepatitis C and around 12 million people are suffering from it. Out of them, 1.6 million people are carrying HIV and 6.1 million have hepatitis C. There are also people around 1.3 million who are living with both hepatitis C and HIV.

Drug traffickers are finding new ways to trade abused drugs. Advanced mobile communication and dark web has made it easy and due to anonymity of cryptocurrencies, it is even easier to buy drugs with bitcoin.

Not all but some terrorist group live on drug sales. 85% opium production occurs in Afghanistan and this territory is under direct control of Taliban which makes almost half of their income.

The possible and effective solution would be to focus on the whole life of patient which includes his medical and emotional needs. Behavioral rehabilitation and medication would be required to reduce patient urge for drugs.

Climate change:

According to latest assessments, uncontrolled greenhouse gases emissions would likely to increase global temperature to 4.8°C by year 2100. This would result in severe weather, food shortage and many infectious diseases will spread. It is worth noting that even one degree change in temperature will upset our ecosystem and plants and animal’s habitat would be affected. Experts say that if global warming continuous at this rate, one fourth species on earth will become extinct by 2050.

Global warming will also affect our seas temperature and their levels will rise. Glaciers will melt and add more water into oceans. As a result low lying areas will submerge causing damage to property and ecosystem. It will also lead to escalate famine, storms and floods and change in rainfall patterns around the globe.

The possible solutions of global warming would be steps to grow clean and efficient energy, growing trees, less burning of fossil fuels, upgrading infrastructure and controlling birth rate.

Unemployment:

According to a report, in next two years, nearly three million people will become jobless worldwide. The reasons would be slow economy growth, vulnerability of existing jobs and social turbulence. Other reasons of unemployment are increased prices of oil, low labour standards, lack of social protection, economic opportunity and stable jobs.

In North America, unemployment challenges are very acute due to recent recession in 2017. South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa are also vulnerable to unemployment.

According to experts, by 2020, about 500 million new jobs must be created worldwide for currently unemployed and young people.

Unemployment can be reduced by making right policies and increasing public investment to generate more jobs.

Health problems:

About 10 million people die each year in poor countries due to simple diseases like malaria, diarrhea and tuberculosis. These diseases otherwise could be easily prevented.

Millions of people are suffering from under-nutrition leading them to mental or physical disability.
The major causes of health issues are unhygienic diet, lack of physical exercise, degraded environment, lack of resources and high stress levels.

Lack of education:

Millions of children around the world have no access to education. 72 Million Children have no primary education and around 759 million adults are not literate.

Most common reasons for education lack are poverty and financial deficient. Sub-Saharan Africa is the most affected area with over 32 million children of primary school age remaining uneducated. Central and Eastern Asia, as well as the Pacific, are also severely affected by this problem with more than 27 million uneducated children.

Sub-Saharan Africa has over 32 million children which never gone to school and remain uneducated. In central and Eastern Asia, more than 27 million children are uneducated.

Child abuse:

Child abuse is found everywhere around the world and is very common. In some countries it is considered offensive subject and is ignored.

Child abusers are mostly expert in gaining child trust and manipulating their trust before starting actual offense and in fact about 34% children are abused by their family members.
It is time to teach and train our children to remain alert in such cases.

There are also many other worldwide problems like pollution, energy shortage, clean water and food shortage, terrorism, corruption, poverty, racism and lack of resources.

Even if each individual does their bit in any small way also it will be helpful for the humanity to rise

@munawar1235- Yes. You are very right. The world is plagued with these significant problems that you highlight and many more. Let us all commit to taking some ACTION (as outlined in solutions you have mentioned) with whatever resources that are at our disposal. It is an issue that many countries are facing. I think we need to educate our children from the early age. It is indeed painful to see that young people are more involved in drug abuse. Lack of education and parent negligence, lack of job and economic frustration could be the reason in the massive drug addiction rise these days..
