The Boiling River in the Amazon
Deep in the forests of the Amazon is an area called Mayantuyacu. Here lies a boiling river, whose temperature is so hot🔥that anything that falls into it would be scalded and would die.
The locals use it for making tea or coffee or other cooking purposes. The temperature of the river water is 91 degrees Celsius, which is a whopping 196 degrees Fahrenheit! Yikes!

That's very interesting. I'm guessing the boiling of the river is cause by a hot spring. Such a neat phenomenon. It's pretty cool that people use it for cooking.

The natives believe their gods gave it to them, or provided it for them, so to show respect, they use it in many ways such as for cooking and laundry and other things.
The thing is...usually with a hot spring, there is a volcano near by, kind of like with Yellowstone National Park. However, there isn't an active volcano near this river within miles and miles of the river. This is so baffling~
