A QUOTE:-
The nation that destroys its soil destroys itself.
- Franklin D. Roosevelt
Soil is the most important thing on the planet, without soil we cannot grow food, no food .... well no people.
To think that a small creature like the humble worm can have such an impact on the human life cycle. To think how much food we waste each year, put in a hole in the ground, when we could be feeding these creatures and producing "humus" the most potent natural soil of them all.
Get yourself a worm farm, learn how to use it, dispose of your food scraps and know you are doing your bit for the planet and humanity.
Its not hard, it is easy...so go on give it a go. I'm here to help if you have any questions.
WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!
Until next time thanks for your attention.
Cheers

Good to meet a person who loves cryptocurrency AND worms! Unusual mix, but important. We have been raising worms outdoors for years and have helped create buckets of fertile soil for outdoor gardening and potting plants. Used to buy Miracle Grow, but not anymore. Worm soil does it all, and all it costs is a little time, effort and food scraps. Not too much to ask in exchange for so much!

Yes I agree, this is a unusual duo, but I am passionate about both. I have been worming for over 7 years now and truly believe that the worm can save the world. They do so much good!!
Thanks for your comment!!

Is it bad to say I love worms for fishing? They're the best live bait going :D:D
I agree though, they are a vital part in soil nutrition. Im sure youve seen those vids of the fellas in Louisiana (i think it is) where they call all the worms to the surface for picking!! Cool theory but probably not a good thing eh, mass harvesting of worms?
The old man used to tell my brother and I about Gungadin all the time... great story (pops is into restoring vintage bikes, he has a bantam D3 and a 59 Royal Enfield)

Worms for fishing is fine...you get a worm farm feed your scrap food, take some worms out for fishing, and they will re-breed and be replaced in 6 weeks, in fact there is no damage to the worm environment if you take some out daily for fishing. Highly recommended! - Get a worm farm, save on bait costs!

I'll be starting up my worm cannister soon. Any tips for helping them survive the winter?

Yes, they will slow down eating as it get colder, you can bring the worm farm inside, as long as you don't overfeed them it will not smell. Ensure plenty of shredded paper, this will act as insulation and be their bedding. They need to be in temp of 16-29degrees Celsius (not sure of the conversion to F). DON'T OVER FEED THEM!

Thank you. Not sure if my wife will allow them inside but that is some great info.

Maybe a garden shed or carport, shouldn't take up too much room. Happy wife...happy life! lol
