The worship of wisdom: Those who serve her serve the Holy One; those who love her the Lord loves. Ben Sira 4:14

The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God, the sapiential books teach: "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge" Proverbs 1:7; in other words, the spiritual life of man begins with this perfection from above.
The spiritual gift of fear of God is defined as constancy, firmness, devotion, and equanimity. The fear of God has been since the creation of the world, as described in the Book of Genesis, the gift by which God chose men for his providential plan; before the law of Moses existed there was the fear of God. Out of reverential fear God, chose Noah and his family, out of fear God chose Abraham and Moses. In simple terms, the reverential fear is the ability to see the world with the eyes of God.
And the fear of God when it bears fruit in the minds and hearts of people brings something very beautiful with it, the adoration of wisdom; and this inner transformation has a special name, Gnosis.
The worship of wisdom or contemplative life is the most excellent virtue according to Aristotle, and it is through this spiritual gift, according to the Sacred Scriptures, that men understand the deepest mysteries of God. In Christianity this ethical virtue receives a very particular name, eternal life, the life that once obtained can never be lost, that is why it is eternal.
Those who received this precious special gift, like King Solomon, achieved glory and immortality, that is, the beatitude.
For all this, the teacher Ben Sira in his book wrote to teach this beautiful virtue, the love of wisdom, because to love wisdom is to love God himself, with these beautiful words the wise man expressed himself on the issue:
"Wisdom teaches her children
and admonishes all who can understand her.
Those who love her love life;
those who seek her out win the LORD´s favor.
Those who hold her fast will attain glory,
and they shall abide in the blessing of the LORD.
Those who serve her serve the Holy One;
those who love her the Lord loves" Ben Sira 4:11-14.
