Otzarreta forest, Basque Country, Spain:

Otzarreta Forest is part of Gorbea Natural Park. The Gorbea Natural Park of the Basque Country is a protected area, where you will find to see the mountainous scenes, the opportunity to walk on foot, see the wonderful waterfalls and some wonderful caves. It is a perfect forest that attracts many photographer with its platinum plump and ancient trees and a foggy climate that gives it a really calming atmosphere. The size and shape of some of the trees is unlike anything you have ever seen!

The park covers an area of karst land with a total of nearly 500 catalogued sinkholes. The scenery in Gorbeia is very varied, ranging from bare rock face to gentle, rolling pastures and beech and oak forests.

For the Basques, the quality of the park scenery and its cultural significance have made it a popular destination for many outdoor pursuits such as hiking, mountaineering, mountain-biking, horse riding, potholing, etc.
