Celebrating and Encouraging woman

Hello Steemit friends,
@ ceepee here again on your steemit door.

I have been blogging more about being a pilot. Reason been that is what i am, and what i do. Am not a writter naturally, but i noticed i can only be able to blog when i express what is natually inside of me.

I want to talk about encouraging women to pursue their passion. Sharing this view with you has nothing to do with been a feminist, or a gender equality advocate. But this is to encourage other women out there to go after their dreams, to be passionate about what they do love and go for it. As women, we have something inside of us, there are profession/job/career we like and would love to be part of.

The female gender tends to be restricted in certain area and field. I will use my experience on my profession as an example.
There are very few female pilots. Statistic has shown the Gap between female pilots to male pilots is very very wide.

In africa the ratio is much more lower. It is not because woman do not like the profession, it is mainly as a result of lack of encouragement.
In my experience, I started nursing the dream of becoming a pilot from childhood. I had my dream locked inside of me, because many never encouraged me. All i would hear is, why do you want to do a man's job; a woman's place is in the kitchen; that is not a woman's profession. I was not encouraged to nurse my dreams, i was not encouraged to follow my passion. But I was determined, i would research on the internet, joined the women in aviation orgnization (Encouraging woman to join the aviation professional field). I got encouraged and worked hard to follow what i was passionate about. If you ask me, do i feel fullfilled following my dream, the answer is yes. I will not choose something different.

Many woman out there are unfulfilled today, because the society we are do not encourage them to pursue their dreams. There are very few encouraging persons/factors out there.

But this is to that lady out there, you can be who you want to be, what you dream to be, do not stay in the closet. Talk to people, research on people who have gone before you. Doing what you are passionate about, irrespective of the dominace of male gender in that field, never make you less a woman or changes you to a man. It doesnt stop you from beign the mother/wife the society wants you to be. You are a better woman figure in the societly when you feel fulfilled. Satisfaction goes along way with doing what you are passionate about.
Lady!!! dont be limited by society or few individual views and opinion. Be you, be passionate about your dreams.

Despite the restrictions out there, especially in the third world developing countries, there are men (quite a percentage) that are encouraging.
I would like to appreciate and dedicate this post to those men out there who have encouraged us as women to follow our passion in the men's dominated profession/field. This is to you for not feeling intimated by our presence, for your support and mentorship. The person who mentored me is a man. He encouraged me, got me my learn to fly books, followed up on my training, prepared me for a job and still mentoring me on the job to make sure i get to the peak of my career.
Even when an uncle( a pilot) whom i was looking up to talked me down. I could remember his words. He said
"do not waste your time, you cannot be a pilot, that is a man's job. Go get some government job, marry have kids and take care of your family. A woman's place is in her husband's home".
But my mentor was there to encourge, support me and make my choice to pursue my passion easy for me.

Here is my Mentor Captain Olumide.

Steemit has been very encouraging. Seeing many women suceed for beating the odds and being who we are, is applauding. This post is to celebrate and encourage women, successful women, women in the Mens' dominace field, women of steemit and those women who are still in the closet.
To all women out there you are celebrated. We are not taking the mens' wolrd, we are who we are, following our passion and contributing to our society.

Women celebrating fellow women. This feels so good. Honestly, there is no career field a woman cannot excel in. All she needs is a to be given a level playing ground to pursue her dreams. Who would have thought that you'll be able to become a pilot and do well in your chosen career path? Kudos to Captain Olumide, your mentor who encouraged you to become the pilot that you are today. He too is deserves to be celebrated. Hopefully, someday, I'll fly in a plane where you are the pilot. Cheers.

Thank you @redfishpillar. Thanks for the support. Ladies should be proud of who they are, and go for what they want. Yes Captain Olumide is much celebrated. Thank you again.

This is an amazing post. Thank you for highlighting the importance of celebrating and encouraging women. I strongly agree!

Thank you for encouraging us. Your kind is the reason we stay strong and inspired.

Inspiring post, well done you for achieving your dreams. My dad always wanted me to be a pilot, because he couldn't due to eyesight restrictions. It was never something I wanted to do personally (even being a passenger in a plane terrifies me) but I'm so glad he recognised I was capable of doing something in such a male-dominated field if I wanted to. Tippin' my hat to all the ladies in male dominated jobs.

Wow..... As long as you are happy doing what you doing. Thanks for reading and leaving a comment.

Women Una try wella! Keep up the good work Captain Pee.

At the rate you are going.......you could publish a book very soon.
Nice one Captain!

Women are a special being, no doubt about it, the world is coming to an era were their will be more women working while men will become stay home

Stay at home ..u have seen jerk work at home superceed work at work home with kids ull work like work otself

Haha

Being female in a male dominated profession makes the female work harder to prove she's worth being there. More power to your elbow as you work tireless to prove you deserve to be there 👌

Thank you. You are appreciated for encouraging us. Thank you for reading.
