Dominion 6.9 in Osaka-jo Hall is a professional wrestling event promoted by New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). The event is scheduled to take place on June 9, 2018, in Osaka, Osaka, at the Osaka-jō Hall and was the tenth event under the Dominion name and fourth in a row to take place at the Osaka-jō Hall.

The event is NJPW's biggest between January's Wrestle Kingdom 12 in Tokyo Dome and July/August's G1 Climax. With this being one of the big three events in the New Japan Pro Wrestling calendar there is always huge matches on the card and this year is no exception. The main event of Dominion will be a 2 out of 3 falls match for the IWGP Heavyweight Title between the champion Kazuchika Okada and the challenger Kenny Omega. This match is also a rematch between the two who also versed each other at Dominion last year with the match ending in a 60 minute time limit draw. This 2 out of 3 falls match will have no time limit and as such will have a winner. The first match between these two at Wrestle Kingdom 11 was arguably the greatest professional wrestling match of all time being rated by Dave Meltzer as a 6 out of 5 star match. As far as storylines and rivalries go this is undoubtedly the biggest in wrestling today. There is no doubt in my mind that this match will live up to the hype as it involves 2 of the 3 best wrestlers in the world.

While the main event in itself is reason enough to watch the event live on New Japan World, there are also a number of other incredible matches on the card. Tetsuya Naito (c) vs. Chris Jericho for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship is a quality match that would be worthy of Wrestle Kingdom or Wrestlemania status. Chris Jericho in himself is a great performer when in the WWE however during his short stint in NJPW so far his heel performance has been outstanding. His surprise attacks and promos have been some of the best of his career in my opinion and it goes to show what he is capable when able to perform as a pro wrestler as opposed to a 'sports entertainer'. On the other end of the spectrum we have Tetsuya Naito the IWGP Intercontinental Champion. Naito is personally my favourite wrestler as his tranquillo attitude is both incredibly badass and interesting at the same time. This match came about at New Year’s Dash with Chris Jericho attacking Tetsuya Naito. Despite starting a program with Naito, Jericho did not appear at any more NJPW shows. When asked on Twitter whether he was done with NJPW, Jericho responded yes. At Wrestling Hinokuni, Naito beat Minoru Suzuki to win the IWGP Intercontinental Championship then at Wrestling Dontaku, Jericho made his return to NJPW attacking Naito. It was then announced that Naito would be defending the Intercontinental Title at Dominion.

Los Ingobernables de Japon (Sanada and Evil) (c) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) for the IWGP Tag Team Championship

Hirooki Goto (c) vs. Michael Elgin vs. Taichi for the NEVER Openweight Championship

Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. (To be announced)

Will Ospreay (c) vs. (The winner of Best of Super Juniors 25) for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship
