NXT Invasion Good For WWE Programming

Supposedly, due to travel issues from Saudi Arabia for some of their superstars, the WWE needed to add a good portion of the NXT roster to the Smackdown show that aired the following evening after Crown Jewel. It was a brilliant move because Survivor Series, which will be airing on Sunday November 24, will be for the very first time involving Raw, Smackdown and NXT Superstars in competition with each other. In other words, it will be a brand war! NXT, which initially was intended for the WWE to train superstars and prepare them for the main roster, has been developing into its own distinctive promotion. Triple H and Shawn Michaels should receive a lot of the credit for this development.

The invasion continued on Raw and The OC made a statement on NXT's program, as well. Smackdown was the show that really put NXT over. Shayna Baszler put the Smackdown Women's Division on notice. Tommaso Ciampa challenged The Miz to a must-see match! However, Daniel Bryan versus Adam Cole was as good a match as anyone could have to finish the night. This was especially true because the styles of Bryan and Cole are a perfect match.

Finn Balor is also back on the NXT roster making these hungry grapplers even stronger. This was a move that was believed to be done because NXT needed some star power to compete with AEW to try and win over the Wednesday night wrestling viewer. This is why competition is a great thing! The entire professional wrestling business wins in this situation.

When Triple H was standing in the ring with the NXT roster at the end of Smackdown, it reminded me of a time years ago when Paul Heyman was standing in the ring with the ECW roster for a similar invasion. I have also noticed that many of the matches are much more hard hitting now. Besides, many of the NXT Superstars appear ready for the big show, so let's have them take their spot in the limelight!
