My friend and marvelous writer @jayna has been compiling reviews for Write Club so when the next round of it (plus Write Club 2!) come around, there'll be some fancy authors with their fancy quotes on it so people will be encouraged to join.
So. (breathes in) Here it goes.
Okay, so I can't really claim that Write Club will magically make you a better author or writer or editor or person, but Cthulhu is involved and we had cookies, but someone ate them all.
Write Club really gets you serious about your writing. You treat it like an actual job and are able to communicate with like-minded folks who want to see you succeed and, simultaneously, want to succeed as well. Ya know the saying "Who you hang out with determines your success?" Like, if you hang out with fast food cooks, you'll probably end up flipping burgers. Well, Write Club is like that in the sense that you're surrounded by authors who are so banging good at what they do, they make you want to be better. And the best part is that they want you to be better too!
I've made probably the closest friends I've never (but hopefully will someday) meet through Write Club, and I wouldn't trade the past sixteen weeks for the world.
Did that do? Is that cool?
I thought so too.
In all seriousness, yes. And not just Write Club, not just the Writer's Block, not just Discord groups and lovely people and MSP Waves Radio get the credit for what I've really gotten here. Here is Steemit. I don't hear a lot of people openly thanking Steemit (I guess partially because it's just a website) but it deserves it. Sure, you make money off of it. That's cool, I guess. But listen. Steemit has afforded me a way where I can express myself openly. It's friendly, open to (really) anything and, through contests and interactions, I've become better as a writer. No writer or person or cat should ever miss out on what Steemit has to offer, whether it's togetherness or excellation at your craft. Steemit rocks.
Okay, Lord, I went on a tangent.
Join Write Club. It's all the cool stuff about Steemit, but reduced to a small, tight-knit group of silly homies. Basically, everything good about hip hop.
Jk.
Hip-hop changes stuff. Or wants to. Tries to?
~
Goodnight everybody. Thanks for reading, and God bless! <3
This is far too cool to be relegated to just a tiny rant on the corner of steemit.
But...that's all we have. Corners and rants.
Well done. I'm going to try WC2, for better or worse, and hopefully when (if?) I make it out at the tail end I'll be as positive and optimistic as you :)

Nice write-up, @caleblailmusik! It has been a wild romp. I’ve grown as a writer, had a blast hanging out with you guys, and wouldn’t trade this experience for anything!

"A wild romp."
I feel like I missed the romping? :P

No you didn’t! Your stories were largely responsible for the romping. 😊

One story, okay? One story was rompalicious. The rest were pretty tame!
