The Allure...

“Power, Every hour on the hour
The streets is watching, perched in the tower
Leave when the breeze blow, looking at ants below
That’s where your mind should be, up high, but no

You’re caught up in a street rep, Not realizing you’re bleeding a slow death
Doesn’t it surprise you where you end at each step?
So now you’re in a game on auto with a tech.
Are you built for that?
Can you pull a trigger, see a figure’s brain go splat?
And with it in your palm, remain calm in the eye of the storm and hit your target?
Not the single mom coming out of Target, or that dude who just graduated and already accepted in college.

You think that thing make you grown?
Or, all you see in those YouTube rap videos from dudes who brandish iron like Norelco give you knowledge
Your corner hustle ain’t really worth a dime in this world
Yet you’re dying over $300 sneakes and rumors about a girl
All to say you’re a hustler but you miss the very sense of the word.
So in a sense, my two cents is, you’re hustling backwards
