What really motivates you to do what you do?
That question is a constant during interviews of personalities – from TV stars to football maestros, from award-winning singers to environmental activists.
And the answers are as varied and diverse as the lines on the palms of our hands. They point to the significance of our works, first to ourselves, and to the world which revolves around us.
However, we experience an overcast on so many days; days on which we feel the weight on our shoulders, making us question if the work is really worth spending time and energy, if the right eyes are watching, if the thankless days will snowball into days filled with daily gratitude from our world.
Perhaps, the notion that our art is worthy of emulation and it’s a blessing should be our operational psychology. Perhaps, a routine reminder works. Perhaps, the plaques on our room walls keep our hands on the mill.
It all boils down to that beat within the walls of our heart. It’s beyond definition. It just pushes us to do!
Simple.
