The sweetest sounds to mortals given
Are heard in Mother, Home, and Heaven.

Dear Mama,
It has been so long since I’ve seen your beautiful face,
That impish smile. I miss you so.
I miss the twinkle in your eye when one of us made a joke,
Even though you’d scold us because of the language,
you thought it funny too.
You gave me everything that lead me to
What and where I am today,
You stood between me and violence,
You "Kept The Calm", even when you didn’t feel so.
And in those dark times when
I was not such a nice person,
You pretended to not see the
Darkness,
Always Hoping, Always Knowing that the
Light would win out at last.
And you were right.
"Happy Birthday Mama; I love you."
