it's a cold romantic morning, Amejuma & Ogbe are seen strolling juantilly along a bush path hand in hand. birds going to roost chirp at them making romance even more romantic as background theme follows soothe. They kiss, play & laugh. They get under a tree & decide 2 take a rest.
OGBE: I feel so happy whenever we are together alone. Why don't I ever feel like i'm your brother?
AMEJUMA: After all we've been through, u had better not become one
OGBE: What feels so good cannot be wrong.
AMEJUMA: What does it matter anyway. We're happy together that's all that matters.
OGBE: It's just that it keeps sneaking into my head that what if it is wrong.
AMEJUMA: You just said what is so good cannot be wrong.
OGBE: That was me. What about you, deep inside do you feel like my sister?
AMEJUMA: I feel you are a very strong and handsome man that would stand by me what ever (resting on his chest & stroking his head gently). I feel I belong to you
OGBE: (flattered). You should be my wife. We will work it out somehow. I don't feel drawn to any other woman like I am to you. (caressing her skin). You have the most beautiful skin i've ever seen. And your eyes they have the innocence of a child's & their brightness is like that of the hen. Whenever you bathe me in your gaze, my bones yield. You are incense that soothes & yet conquers. You conquer me completely. I love you so.....
AMEJUMA: (cuts in). I love you too. But I have this fore burden. What if one of those beautiful hardworking maiden from the hinterland comes & sweep you off your feet
OGBE: (Laughing) . Not when am already off my feet floating without bones like now.
AMEJUMA: If or when she comes, i'll kill her with my bare hands. I'll be your wife, your sister your anything I don't care.
OGBE: (draging her closer). You are my wife, my princess, my own. source
(They snuggle closer to each other begins to kiss & take of clothes. Enters Okotie who have been watching all along from behind a tree).
OKOTIE: (clears his throat. They realise his presence & begin to adjust & put back on clothes). I could only but wonder why the Prince & Princess of our great land would leave the palace not escorted by entourage of armed guards and maidens. Now I see. (rather disgusted) The incestuous prince & princess. Tufia.
OGBE: Elder please. This must not leave here. Name your price.
OKOTIE: You could buy me, but could you afford the wrath of the gods? Nevertheless i'm not for sale. I refuse thousands to suffer the incestuous seed you have sown. The whole town must hear this. (leaves).
AMEJUMA & OGBE: Elder please.... Elder please...
(Fade).
Days later. The king is seen pacing about alone in a private chamber in his court. Utterly troubled.
KING: Of what use is authority without power, Responsibility without freedom.
We have bruded day & night over this thing we call tradition. Should. Tradition move us forward or take us back?
We die, tradition do not yet we re the custodians of tradition.
Tomorrow my only two children will be put to death & here I stand king unable to do nothing.
Should I bend tradition the reaction of the citizenry would not be good. (takes a deep breath).
Fare thee well Treacherous gem Amejuma the poison u drank is of the seed of its own antidote. Farewell hapless son Ogbe. I too a a hapless mornach.
(Cut).
It is early morning again few days later. the sound of the gong of agboforaja the town crier wakes a rather peaceful village.
TOWNCRIER: (As he hit his gong). People of our land do lend me your ears. Our Lion king of the sea has approved the death of his only 2 children according to our tradition as they have been found guilty of incest. they shall hence be therefore burried alive by dawn tomorrow. We shall all come to witness our great king refuse to bend tradition to favour his own. (hits his gong again).

At the village square, villagers are gathered murmuring one to another in front of a well dug grave. In front are able bodied youths with shovels in hand.
Enters Amejuma & Ogbe hands tied escorted by armed guards. Following closely behind is The Diviner chanting incantations.
As they get to the front of the grave. Amejuma & Ogbe hand in hand turns & face the crowd already with mix reactions. Some in tears, others can't wait to see tradition takes its course.
OGBE: The world is indeed a market place everyone comes do only but his bit & leaves.
AMEJUMA: And now the lead traders vacates binded by love & when it is morning this love shall yet rise again.
They turn to each other hugs in tears & are helped into the grave by the armed guards. Those with shovels gets to work as they burry them alife. Crowd in tears.
THE END.
