Azazel watched the exchange safely perched on top of one of the many dilapidated buildings that peppered the area. A tall ashen gray skinned woman accompanied him in his analysis, her black hair falling all the way to her ankles. Her appearance gave the illusion of a black and white photo amongst a multi-colored background, a bizarre effect that even Azazel had trouble processing. Her black eyes studied her guest, Tra watching over the two. Azazel's tense muscles and constantly changing expression showed someone again amongst what he loved doing. The beast was dangerous like that. No subtlety in his actions. Tra Trevoc relished meat, but when meat got away through other's stupidity his wrath was unquenchable.
“It's pretty clear she's rarely traversed outside a superficial earthly realm. She’s a typical worldly girl. Probably more worried about her hair and status than anything else in her meager existence,” Azazel commented to Tra. “These types are common in every period. Why go after easy prey? She’s not my usual type.”
“Oh, it's never easy. They always protest the weaker ones. She's with one of my old friends. The little cunt doesn't know when enough is enough,” Tra said. “Her powerlessness she tries to make up with enthusiasm. She would have been better off being Rahab’s dinner.” Lilith shook her head, “It's unbecoming to still have your personal vendettas.”
“She got away. Doesn't mean you can't exhume some punishment now. She was always an idealistic fool.” Tra added.
Tra glanced back to the gazebo and focused on the two walking away in different directions. “Lilith, care for giving Azazel some help?”
Azazel objected under his breath.
“I'll help you with the new ways. No worries, I won't deprive you of your fun, and while I’m at it and I'll show you some tricks. As Tra said, it's a little more complicated now.” She turned to Tra, ”I too can give Constance a warm welcome if you want.”
“I appreciate the offer. Meet up with me in a bit for drinks and we’ll have a more civilized discussion. As for Constance, she’s my business and I'll take care of her, but I won’t deprive your chance to play. She may still fear me, and if she doesn't she will again.”
