Personal Pledge of Aesthetic Responsibility

I am the aesthetic curator of the known universe
I take personal responsibility for the appreciation and restoration
Of beauty and integrity in all of my surroundings
I am keenly aware of the difference between “art” and “trash”
I put garbage in its place
And I place art
(as governed by the laws of feng shui)
I cure the stagnant corners of the human psyche
And breath life into forgotten treasures that are still of some use
Everything before my eyes is my kingdom, my empire, my responsibility
I and I will employ the help of friends, family, foes, strangers and enemies
to set it to right

And so it is sealed.
