These posts come up every now and then. Like you, i joined steemit right after launch in 2016. People were making $1000s of dollars on posts, but i was getting pennies(still do). It's just how it is. Popular bloggers get lots of traffic and votes. They should be rewarded for that. We just have to keep posting and maybe one day we will draw lots of traffic too.

Exactly! - People with large followings from YouTube or whatever, they already have an audience. If they bring all of them here, they should definitely be rewarded for that. Other authors, without a large following to begin with, will have to build their followings inside of Steemit. Then there's other factors like luck and such that plays a huge role in Steemit.
