Our Thought process are the part of the human experience. You can not leave them, You can never get rid of them. But you can practice not attaching yourself to the thoughts. Every new thought that arises gives you the opportunity to see it as only a thought. No attachment no judgement needed. Just letting the thoughts flow and being aware of them are more than enough because when you understand these thoughts and its process, you will start understand the Nirvana, awareness and consciousness.
