1.Long Flowered Spider Lily
Long flowered spider lily is a very rare herb type plant.It is found only growing wild.In a old book named Amaryllidaceae by William Herbert mentioned that it was the only specimen which been lost at calcutta and never brought it's bulb to UK for growing.This flower's only specimen photo was reserved by Ravinder Singh and planted as a house-plant in a pot.
2.Siroi Lily
Siroi lily is one of the most beautiful and definitely rare flower in India.Frank Kingdon-Ward once came to Manipur to do research on botany in 1946.He first noticed this flower and exposed it to the out world.He found this flower on the top of Siroi hill at Ukhrul district of Manipur.This place is the onle one place in the whole world where this flower is found.It doesn't support transplantation well.This flower is now under threat if extinction.Thingnam Girija photographed it on the Siroy Hill in 2007.
3.Magenta Ghost Flower
Magenta ghost flower is one of the most rare flower in India.It is a local parasitic flower in the country.This flower was rediscovered in 2003.This plant again got found in Indra Gandhi Wildlife sanctuary Anamalais, near Pollachi.Prashant Awale stumbled upon this rare plant in Devikulum, Kerala, in 2006.It is a parasite flower on grass due to it's lack of chlorophyll.This is the local flower of south india.
