The Reset (An Original Short Story)

Holy, moly!
"Noir" meets "Sci-Fi."
Who'da thunk?

Only, instead of the aspiring "widow" ending her hubby's life to steal his insurance... here, the "widow" ends her hubby's life... BY stealing it.

'Cause, obviously, 15 years off an old git whose kidneys are already failing... well, that's kind of "That's All, Folks" for him.

Anyway... this one was a hoot. Had everything: Hot, hungry housewives. Detectives. Slithery bad guys. Time travel. Guys pounding on each other. Guys shooting at each other. Guys killing each other.

Sex and violence and death. And little calculator-looking gizmos that steal the life right out of you when you're not looking.

I had NO idea where this one was going to end up. Nice surprise.

(BTW: Wouldn't it be funny if after Liz goes and makes herself 15 years younger... Kinkoboy completely loses interest in her. On account of he, actually, goes for women his mother's age?

Woo-hoo.

Serve her right. The hussy. ;-D )

Goot goot.

Thank you! I think since I have a bunch of written crap on my hard drive I can as well get paid 4 it.
Yes, Liz stepped into the unknown. In a Star Trek way, to "where no woman has ever gone before." However, I think she figured out really well what is awaiting her if she won’t do that. In a way, she did the crime so she would have to serve the punishment.
Anyhow, it was so nice of you to stop by and to give yourself a labor to read this. Hopefully, soon I can see some of your stuff as well.
Cheers
