You hesitated. But I just told you to message me if you were coming. I was not sure if I did the right thing inviting you but I braced myself. I was happy I did it. I waited, feeling anxious and excited at the same time.
My phone did not ring that night. No knocks were heard from my door. The silence was overwhelming. You never came.
