Many companies have websites, Facebook page and every other means of creating an online presence but realise none of these is just working. These are problems that have working solutions but they either look the wrong way, keep repeating their failures or ignore everything all together.
Rather than looking inwardly to fix the problem, they start to think maybe the market is not yet ready or that they must have been to naive to be convinced something like the internet can help grow their business.
Well, here is one thing that might be contributing to their online woes and that is not been able to replicate their offline operations in their online platform. Customers cannot just identify with the online service they provide and so they feel lost and then scream "am outta here!".
Customers, especially the Nigerian one has trust issues and branding has the power to instill trust in customers. If a business have worked hard to create a brand for their operations offline and fail to bring that online, that is their brand integrity flying out of the window.
Hiding under the mask of the internet just drives customers away. Growth cannot come this way, it comes by being real and staying true.
