Hey Steemit!

This weekend has been full of events and a lot of stuff to do, so I didn’t even have time to post anything. Not true. We often say such things to justify our procrastination and I decided to prove myself that I can always find time for something that I really need to do.

I’m going to allow at least an hour for writing per day and I called this challenge “Write, lazy ass!”

If you follow my blog, you know that I mostly post my art and this is kind of big deal to me to do writing, especially considering that I am not a native English speaker. So this is going to be a real challenge. I will post some of my daily writing under the Write, lazy ass! title (or without it) unless it is complete bullshit.

In view of the foregoing, I’ve read a couple of books and followed several Telegram channels about successful writing. So this is my loose translation of some cool tips that I found on this cool channel https://t.me/abbsol (which is in Russian):

– Writing is useful. Firstly, the skill of stating one’s thoughts has never hurt anyone. Secondly, you reinforce your experience when you formulate your thoughts. Thirdly, publicity makes your thoughts understandable even for yourself.

– If you want to write, you need to read. As well as to listen and observe.

– You don’t need to make things up, you need to put everything down.

– You don’t need to retell, you need to identify the essential. It is easy to write long and hard to write short.

– You need to make conclusions out of essential. You have nothing to think over unless you made a conclusion.

– You don’t need to strive to make people agree with you. Good thoughts are needed to think them over. We all make your own conclusions.

– Don’t be afraid to think out loud. This is the only way to find those who think in the same direction.

I hope this will encourage someone to start writing along with me. Or maybe it will encourage someone to start doing some other useful self-improving stuff. So just stop fooling around and start doing something, lazy ass!

I liked it thanks a lot ^_^

👍

Good advice. Writing needs to be cultivated as a habit. Just like practicing an instrument. Practice 10 to 20 minutes a day every day.

Totally true!

You're absolutely right ! Have a nice day !

Thanks! You too:)
