My apologies to anyone who has been missing my posts. I've been in the midst of a career change, or working towards one rather. I have an associate's degree in Applied Sciences majoring in electronics technology, acquired several years ago, but have been struggling to find a position without work experience (classic catch 22). Recently I was contacted by company that was willing (potentially) to gamble on me. I'm from North Eastern Pennsylvania (Scranton). This company is located in Tuscon Arizona. They paid to fly me out and put me in a hotel to interview with the stipulation of passing an assessment test. This morning I took and passed the test and was scheduled for an interview. I completed the interview, and feel confident I represented my well. I was told I'd know by tomorrow either way if I will be accepted into the team. (Fingers crossed) This position would more than double my current pay rate and give me much need experience in my field. I will update this post with the news, good or bad, when I become aware. I wanted to 1. Share my potentially life changing news and 2. Give reason to my seeming abandonment of steemit. I assure you all I am here for the long run, as I truly believe Steem solves a problem in today's world. Thanks for reading and as always Steem on friends! Edit: I'd also like to shout out to @inventor16 his posts of wisdom helped me to fix my attitude toward the future and open myself up to opportunity. I strongly believe you should follow him as he is wise beyond his years. I know this even though I don't know his age haha. Thank you sir.
Update 1/13/18: I've not heard any response from the employer yet. I was told I'd be told either way though, so it's not necessarily bad news. Holding to optimism and waiting. Will update again when I receive word.
I have confirmation of my acceptance into the company, pending my background screening!! Being that ive had many many jobs and have lost track of dates, this is goin to be a longer process than i hoped, but im moving in the right direction!
