HOMESCHOOL OR PUBLIC SCHOOL ?

Home schools or public education, has become the number one educational question for many families. Majority of the students turn to homeschooling to avoid bullying or to get a better education. Families embrace homeschooling for many different reasons, for example, safety, travel, academic qualities, etc.

Each type of education has its own set of pros and cons. There are many differences between the two types of schooling's that parents might not consider, such as social aspects, the quality of learning and many conditions that aren't thought of in both these education environments.

In public schools children are usually forced to sit in a room full of 20 odd other students the same age as them and an adult. A public teacher has to focus on all the children in the class, whereas home school they can focus on one child at a time. Home schooled children interact with more people while going to the grocery store or the park or just conversing with their family, on the other hand public schoolers stay in their boundaries and interaction with others over that boundary is limited. Many people say that homeschoolers don't have the same social aspects as public school students but in reality these students have the same or greater social skills as public students.

Every parent wants the best for their child/children. It has been said that most homeschoolers miss out on all the fun activities like art, music, drama, physical education, this is not true, they don't miss out on anything.
In public schools everyone's expected to learn at the same pace, there is always a set schedule. There's always pressure from the other kids, whether it be high grades or peer pressure. At the end of the year the students go into a stress phase to please everyone else around them as well as family and fellow students. It's always a competition on who can do better or who can get the highest grades.

Majority of the public schooled students give into peer pressure and start giving up on their education wanting to be in with the other children, or the popular crowd. From drugs to fighting to bad grades to failing a year and having to repeat. Bullying the number one reason most public schoolers change to home schoolers. Whether they the ones being bullied or watching someone else getting bullied. Having to look over your shoulder all the time and having to dodge certain areas of the school halls to avoid being bullied affects the grades due to constantly thinking about it.
In homeschooling there's less paper work for students. Assignments, projects, homework, these things a school-going child has to worry about everyday. Added to the time period has to be done, you will sit with a stressed out and tired teenager or child.

Disadvantages of homeschooling is it could be very expensive. Having to buy all the equipment needed for your child/children for them to complete their studies. Home school also has limited subjects, leaving your child less knowledgeable on a certain topic or subject area.

In my opinion homeschooling is a better option for children especially teenagers.
