not all types of crabs can be consumed

not all crabs can be consumed it turns out there are types of crabs that are poisonous in the opinion of traditional fishermen .

I challenge scientists at Steemit to answer what kind of toxin or chemical is contained in this type of crab .....

Speaking of crabs, we will usually refer to crabs that can be consumed, such as mangrove crabs (Scylla spp.) Or crabs (Portunus pelagicus). However, in fact in this world a lot of species of crab, whether crabs from the Brachyura group or Anomura. Brachyura is a true crab group, has 4 pairs of perfectly developed legs, while Anomura is a pseudo-crab group, with only 3 pairs of fully developed motion legs - the fourth leg of motion is very small or hard to see.

Of all the species now known, in fact only a few can be consumed. In fact, some species of crab are known to be poisonous species. Then, the question that then arises is, what crabs are poisonous? What poisons are there in the body of a crab? Furthermore, why did the crabs become poisonous? Let's look at the intricacies of these crabs.

This species of crab has long been known by the fishing community, there are dangerous toxins in this type of crab. Starting from my findings on this kerekeb crab beach. (The term local name of this type of crab is called keurekeb) It is clear that this type of crab is not in cosumsi.

I sat down to ask one of the fishermen, why dumped ... the answer is, we do not eat it because it contains toxins and we do not let people eat. Apparently so are the traditional coastal fishermen who already know about the type of crab that has long contained poison.

believe them (from generation to generation). and finally, I support the testimony of the fishermen with various studies and the results of my reading is true what is believed by the crab fisherman is true toxic.
