The last confession of an alien

It has been several billion years since mankind came into existence.Since then human species kept on evolving.The species kept on exploring different and better ways to use their knowledge.They converted knowledge into survival.They found a way to co-exist.They were such a unique species in the entire universe.They had a unique trait of sharing love.We had everything in our galaxy and we were so technologically advanced but we knew nothing about emotions.Humans had a way of expressing emotions.So, we found them interesting and thought we could learn from them.We arrived and waited for the right moment to say hello to them.Meanwhile we were doing observations on them.They were advancing at a very rapid pace.Right when we thought they were ready we observed a few more traits like anger,jealousy,hatred and lust.It was understandable.We were even ready to share some of the cures for the diseases that were killing them.It was time to meet them.We were getting ready to meet and make new friends.For the first time we experienced a feeling other than curiosity.We were happy.
And then we found another trait in some human beings.It scared the shit out of us.We experienced fear for the first time.It was different from all other emotions because it can coexist with other feelings and it made them to do things like "why the fuck would you do that" kind of things.It was epidemic.No human tried to control that emotion.We tried to figure out whether it was an emotion or a disease.Right when we thought we were safe some of our comrades began to imitate those "why the fuck would you do that"kind of actions that humans did.It was spreading so rapidly that we weren't able to control it.It was not generic like other emotions it was of different levels.We were so afraid.Right when we thought that the levels of this trait wouldn't get any more dangerous.Humans started to fight among themselves and started destroying their planet in order to find who is supreme.They started using nukes.They were literally destroying their world which gave them the rare chance of existence in this vast universe and they were so happy about winning the war.They didn't give a single damn about their planet.
We were mortified so much that this emotion had gotten all of us.We were scared that we would do the same thing.So, we have decided to crash our ship into the sun.
Lastly,I want to reveal the name of the anomaly or emotion that took over us.It is called STUPIDITY.
