Freewrite: Meaning of life

Forced into the world and at its mercy, told to live by its rules but to what end. Life as we know it has no meaning. Anything we do is worthless as either it has already been achieved, or time will devour its meaning. We look into the dark hoping for light, but even the light we find eventually fades, just as we. We have not changed as from the first and untill the last, we seaech and create our own meaning because life truly has none of its own.
