The Sinking of a Country

Between the trash you swam
Naked
Following the flow takes you somewhere
Behind you see cars floating
Following you are like you
You stared at the mansions ahead of you
Arise drowned by the brunt of the flood

You pray to God

And maybe the last one in your breath
A flooded tree greets you
You hurriedly straddled it
