The hectic day reminds me of my problem with my pastor. I still hate him though. He finds nearly everything offensive. Every statement for him should be like the lines of the Bible.
You can imagine telling your buddy 'Oboy we go go shack for that corner today o' and your pastors hears it and frowns at you. You should have said 'My friend we go go there drink some...' Apart from the fact that to him, drinking alone depicts drunkenness, using 'shack' makes it even worse, yet my pastor drinks. My pastor frowns at the ef-word, yet he does it with his wife and uses 'love' or 'sex' for it. My pastor would rather prefer you say 'my friend we shall go a take some...'
LANGUAGE SPEC
As a content creator, you have to choose the kind of words to use for your audience so as not to cause a spark or cut them off with an ideology or set of words they are not comfortable with. You cannot do this effectively if you do not know your audience very well.
Remember, it's about your audience, not your product. Use the right word for the class of your audience. That way, you can connect with them psychologically and minister to their emotions.
With all the respect you deserve, I have two councils in this regard: one for your pastor and one for you. For your pastor I have the advice to try to know better his sheep to use the right words, but this is not achieved merely by knowing a grammatical manual of the right words, but in deepening a relationship of intimate love with Christ who is the shepherd really of his sheep and you know them better than anyone and Jesus himself says that he knows his sheep and they know him, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice, so as your pastor seeks to know better Good pastor who is the Lord Jesus, then your congregation will hear the biblical language of Jesus. For you, I advise you not to let the ministerial deficiency your pastor have affect you to such a degree that your heart falls into the sin of feeling hatred for him, because then you will be in such a position of prejudice and evil, that you will not be able to hear God speak through your pastor, even though he speaks to you with the language of heaven. Do not let that evil in your life not be worth it.
