It's finally raining today, after a couple weeks of pretty intensive heat. I love the heat, but it's good to cool down a little every once in a while. I woke up at 6am the first time and noticed it was raining. I turned the fan off so I can listen to the rain while I fall back asleep.

Rainy days feel like a day off for me. It's like nature is telling me that it's alright to stay in and binge watch a show on Netflix, though I'm currently watching The Walking Dead from Viaplay. Sunny days always force me to go outside because I have spend all winter complaining about the darkness and the cold, I can't waste a minute of the sunshine when it's finally here.

I like to keep my window open most of the summer, it makes me feel like I have more space in my apartment, easier to breath. Sure there might be some pollution and of course the sounds of a small city coming in, but it's alright most of the time. There is construction work all around me and I kind of like the sounds of the excavator and the banging of the pipes. I think it reminds me of home and my dad working on fixing a tractor. Of course other times I wish the city would just shut the fuck up and let me enjoy my peace. Well, choices choices choices, I choose to live in the citycenter, mostly for convenience sake. I haven't been in the countryside for quite a while now, I should probably get there soon, but I need my alone time to get some work done during the next few days.

I need to get a lot done before my favourite event of the summer next weekend, the WRC rally. I bet you didn't see that coming! I love rally cars and the whole event around the actual race. It's a tradition to go there with my dad and little brother, and it's a the only weekend my dad takes off work during the whole summer so it's a pretty important one. It's not even that much about the actual race, but spending time outside with my dad and bro, walking in the woods to get to a good spot, cooking camping style food and pancakes and for me, taking pictures of the cars and people watching my camera. It's a fun weekend, but also a tough one, because on some days we leave home at 6am, and come back at 8pm. All dirty and tired, only to do it again the next day.

Funny thing, as much as that is a holiday weekend for my dad, so it is for mom too because she only has to take care of herself for the weekend. It's no holiday for me as I get to feed and take care of two adult men that at times act like toddlers. I need to feed them and make sure they have extra clothing with them if they get dirty. Have you drank enough water today? Oh you don't want cheese toast, well tough luck because that is all I have now. NO MORE CANDIES AND CHIPS! You eat your lunch first!

This year I have the added pressure of Steemit work to deal with while being out and about for the whole weekend. I know I know, you want to say I can take a break. But I can't and I don't want to, this is my means of making a living and like you all know, it's not a very hefty living in the current markets. If nothing else, I have learned that hard work and consistency pay off, who knew right!?

People like to say "Oh, it's just this weekend, you're on a holiday, enjoy it!" but what they don't realise is that if I use that mentality, I would never ever work. I'm always on a holiday these days, and then again, I am never on a holiday. People who use that line are probably fat and poor, because it's easy to make up excuses to not work out, to eat junk every day and not try and improve their lives. Also the same people are the jealous kind, bitching about people who have worked for the things they have in life. None of what I have was given to me for free, I have put in the work and I will continue to do so.

I think it's time to wrap up my rambling, while I still am in a good mood and not get into a ranty rant. Though I have not done a full blown rant in a while...but that deserves it's own post!
