I'm sure most of the writers here on Steemit have had dreams at one point or another - to write a book, ebook, novel, screenplay, etc. Or at least wished to one day be considered an "Author"
So I'm looking for other writers out there who want to take their stuff more seriously.
Thoughts:
- Offer Free Editing services or Editing for SBD
- Bounce Ideas or plots off one another
- Maybe even offer ghostwriting services
- I know there are a lot of non-native English speakers on here who need help writing their posts
- Other?
I'm a huge movie fan and always thought I would play some type of role one in the creation of a major motion picture. When I was very young I wanted to Act. In my teenage years I wanted to become a stuntman. After the age of 20 I wanted to write and have never thrown out that idea yet. For years I entered a local script writing contest in Pittsburgh but that contest has since moved on. And although I haven't worked on my script writing for a couple years now, I am ready to get back into it. I even played the lottery for awhile hoping to score it big so I could budget my own blockbuster!
A mentor I had once said I need to join a book club or writing group but never did. Her fiance at the time was a new Author and she insisted I go to their author meetings. But I was too embarrassed to go, and so I never did.
Anyway, I'm rambling on here about myself and I'd like to know about other potential authors on here. I know either you've posted unsuccessfully or are lurking in the shadows. Anyway, let's find ways to help each other. Maybe we can create our own tag or follow each other so when Steemit moves forward more there will be a way we can all keep in touch.
Im on board with this idea. I would want to dive into the world of architectural and design writing. If there is a place for me, I would love to contribute to this realm!!

I've studied and pursued writing for over a decade now with my primary focus being screenwriting. During that time I've done a lot of free and paid gigs in a variety of fields. I'm new to steemit but one thing I'll be writing about is screenwriting/filmmaking/creativity as I feel I have a lot of experience to share that could help others.

I think creativity will be the key here. I doubt anyone will be sharing their scripts but think we'll all be able to help each other in some form of our writing.

I'm not a real writer as I've only really written science and medical papers before but I would like to improve my writing skills because the quality of writing in medical journals is pretty poor (from a readability perspective).

OP is just trying to steal our ideas, i met people like him before, trying to get in to my head, but guess what paco? I got my new tinfoil hat on, so go tell your lizard friends you aint getting any more of my ideas. i came up with the George forman grill but the sneaky shadowreptiles stole the design while i was sleeping.
