How long have you studied Flat Earth & what tests we can run on our own?

in writing •  7 years ago  (edited)

I feel flattered by the response to @flat-earth introduction, and our award winning skeptics comments discussion dept. All the usual suspects; ridicule by default. Insult upon approach. Oh and of course, general-non-specific anger towards the entire subject. Plus, we gotta have the token peaceful guy who says maybe its flat and round.. at the same time, wooah, like Parallel-Universe shit maaan.

First up, right on time, the ridicule. "i hope this is comedy..."

Once done crying in my bedroom, I was soon reminded of the quote...

All truth passes through three stages.
First, it is ridiculed.
Second, it is violently opposed.
Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Maybe you know info I don't, why NASA have not returned to the moon for 45 years?

Usually a close friend or relative is involved in something with apparent links to space travel and therefore this endows the commenting-ego with a greater sense of self, to make the others small, with their advance "scientific" knowledge. I love science, and scientific testing, I am a fan myself. But I do not worship science. I do not worship scientists. Even the scientists, don't worship other scientists. Why? Because it's very easy to present a case a certain way to create a perceived result one was hypothesiszing. Ironically, this is "scientifically proven" to happen, when the observer is added/removed from the experiment!

There's no need to get your dead grandmas knickers in a twist when I laugh at you for calling "science" as the blanket solution to end every sentence. I am not asking for science. Lets hug and agree we love science, happy now. Ok, now I still do not feel any more certain that this reality we co-inhabit, this paradigm of experience, is a spinning ball in space, with stars and galaxies and shit. Im just not 100% certain, that's all.

I do not wish for you to take offence at my disbelief. It's not personal. There is no need to be upset at me. I am not doing anything to you, you're free to leave, we all know where the door is and no need to threaten MUTE buttons as I wont hear the empty threats if I MUTE you first, bitch. I am genuinely a very happy individual. I do not require any medications to maintain my state of joyfulness. I am playful in my writing, to maintain your attention. I fully comprehend how my flat earth expressions indirectly challenge and shake the foundations of your entire world view and universe paradigm. I am aware of this. I knew this, when I signed up! I am thankful for everyone's input. I've found few people who actually answer my questions? Without resorting to cheap blows to disempower, poke or provoke. But again, I knew this coming into the game.

There was one genuine question which really stuck out from the original Introduction: https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@flat-earth/introduction-i-think-earth-might-be-flat-why-do-we-trust-nasa-so-much

This question was from @samstonehill

"I would like to know how long you have been researching this subject and if you have been able to run any tests of your own?

In 1999 I graduated a Creation-science Biology USA High School, with an A+ Grade Point Average 4.0 specifying in Biology; Plants and Animals, from Biblical creation. This laid an early foundation for the understanding of an alternative approach to "science" of BigBang Theories. Later the internet caught up, and made it more comfortable to express my possible world view. Nothing in Creation-Science is theoretical, it's simple and apparent. For example nature only breeds and reproduces it's own kind. This is known as "species". Species is a law of nature. Laws cannot be broken, which is why the game works. No animal (plant or bird or sea creature) will reproduce after another-kind. To put this in simplistic language, you cannot mate dogs and create a baby cat.

Meanwhile mutations, and mutant creations; while entertaining for Ninja Turtles, and Xmen Wolverine characters, are really of no benefit to a species in real daily life "science" of nature. In nature, mutations die off, simple as that. To put this in simplistic language a horse born with an elongated neck is more likely to die from long-neck-complications, than turn into a giraffe.

To summarise briefly, Creation-science does not accept species "transitioning" into other species as suggested by the evolution theory from Charles Darwin, who himself acknowledged these errors; missing links in the theory of evolution. There should be just as many transitional forms as there are species-specific. To put into simple terms; where's all the half horse-half giraffe freaks? Where are all the inbetween-ers? Why are apes not becoming more human, everyday?

" the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind." Genesis 1:25

These laws of nature are not up for debate, especially with plant vegetation: "plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed" Genesis 1:11 -- Put into simplistic language, an apple tree produces apple fruits, with apple seeds, and will never grow bananas.

The underlying problem with evolution is that it directly contradicts these simple laws of nature.

  1. Species only produces the same species.
  2. Mutations are rarely a benefit to species

The second part of Sam's question was; have you been able to run any tests of your own?

I have made observations, from my experience and perspective. Here is a brief summary:

  1. Horizons are called horizons because they are horizontal. My eyes confirm horizontal from both ground level and airplane.
  2. Self-levelling water. I have found water will always run down, and self-level, to horizontal "sea level", not sea-curve. I've seen boats floating to vanishing point disappearing from the bottom up, then reappearing with a powerful Nikkon zoom lens with clear visibility conditions.
  3. I could easily see Africa, from my house in Spain. I have not yet calculated the curvature, but we shall investigate whether this is "possible" in following posts.
  4. GoPro Rockets. While I have not launched my own rockets, I did spend days watching amateur rocket videos, with non-fisheye lens, these balloons go far higher than any airplane, yet cannot detect any curvature.

The rockets research got far more intriguing when some rockets I watched hit what sounded like a soild ceiling and bounced back to earth. That is another story, another post, another question for another time. I do not want to go so fast that no one can keep up. Some people have been awakening to this information in a matter of months, what has taken me years, an entire lifetime to hypothesise, has been crash-course fast tracked on youtube and it's awesome and inspiring to see so many waking up. The opposition will be fierce, and relentless as people cling to the starwars paradigm.

Most people nowadays believe hook line and sinker, that they're monkey men. Special monkey men, but monkey men all the same. You see, (please insert extra-condesending tone here) There's this cool thing called science. This is an actual quote from an attempted disempowerment-ambush. The conversation went something like...

I said: " The Ultimate Question: WHY LIE? To set you up. For what? Evolution.

To keep you blind to your own Divinity."

So he said: "ROFL! We are just specks in the universe, but we are still special"

So I asked: "What is a ROFL? Does it benefit our discussion? -this is rhetorical, and you are still special.

How do you know we are specks in the universe? - this is a genuine question.

I am genuinely intrigued, what is your most conclusive experiential evidence "we are specks in the universe"? [specify how you know]"

Screen shot 2017-07-31 at 00.04.17.png

Now notice how he avoids actually answering my above ?'s (Insulting people are here to insult, not investigate) Opting for condescending story telling without a punchline...

"There's this cool thing called science. Millions devote their lives to it all over the world from all cultures and countries. Thousands of years ago early scientists noticed evidence ... blahh blah... some boring theory about hemispheres.. blahh I know what jet lag feels like. [is this evidence..?]

If you are happy ignoring all this then it probably makes no difference to your life and I wish you all the best.

BTW some friends of mine who work on space technology will be really miffed that all their efforts are wasted."

I am happy ignoring your flimsy attempts at "evidence", your storytelling anecdotes blow away in the winds your jet lagged receeding hairline. Wishing me the best, is clearly a false positive, your tone-of-voice doth revealeth a heart and tongue which doth not wish me well, not once. Telling me you have friends who work on space technology; is this for benefit of your ego, so we're aware you-know-space-kungfu, or is this information beneficial to me and our loving discussion about our divinity? I do feel they will be a bit miffed, when they never get to go to space, (surely this would be their goal? Ask them if they would like to go to space, for me?) and as I said in my response...

"Im flattered to have all these new fans, let me know when those space technology friends of yours, actually go to space. "

In the final hour, one open-minded individual, who sounds mindful and investigative, @silver-saver says:

"Great post! BTW, historically people have thought the earth flat longer than they did round. Many people will criticize this theory without really investigating it, but if you keep an open mind there are many facts that contradict a round earth."

Screen shot 2017-07-30 at 21.29.31.png
Yep, it's a nice idea, sits well with fairies and rainbows, but lets not entertain "everyone is right in a parallel universe, maaaaaaan." --because this is passive acceptance, to do nothing, disguised as "harmony". While evil lies prevail. It would be more harmonious to unite and share in our common experiences of this earth realm. We all share a notion called love, yet not a single scientist has measured or proven this theory. Does this make love any more or less "real"? Must we be so scientific that we miss life, blinded to our own divinity, by disney space cartoons.

Finally, a word to those who feel emotions of anger, rage and frustration at the subject. This is fear. What are you afraid of? Genuinely ask yourself that.

Peace be with you,
