Defend & Protect Your Confidence

I learned late the value of confidence, All men and women are created with the same confidence. Regardless the circumstance of birth, that child has the confidence of life. Seconds to minutes to days, months and years after conception, attack on said confidence starts. It may be playful name calling, a yell or shout from mom or dad, or the 1st realization of one's limitations in speed, agility, strength, beauty or smarts. At some point a girl realizes she's not as physically strong as boys and a boy realizes he doesn't have want it takes to get the girl.

Confidence is the fuel of imagination. He'll tweak his approach and she'll discover her will.

Without it, imagination stays in the mind, looking out only through the glass of the eyes.

Idea's are free, everyone has them. Many of us have had confidence chipped away, leaving little fuel to boost that imagined Idea to reality.

We all have our own stories of vicious attacks on our confidence. For me sports restored that confidence although enough had been chipped away to require standout performance to get it back. I wanted the girl, I wanted respect, I ran faster and built a ripped body to do so.

Environment is the biggest thief of confidence. Friends, Family, their own prison of limitations gets seduced on you, coated in love and good memories and experienced advice. Unknowingly they become a rare source of confidence boast.

This became vibrantly evident to me when I went to san francisco. It's a democracy of even toned appreciation for those who try. Try and you were rewarded with energetic confidence, fuel needed to grow confidence and extends it to a color in one's aura, what we call swag. The return back to Maryland again vibrantly showed the difference. Plato's cave as described. With chisels in hand, they'll start to chip away. From attire to idea.

An exit is sufficient defense of one's confidence. Stay away from nay sayers, I repeat, stay away from those who only see their own limitations.

Confidence must be protected as a new born baby in a winter forest of wolves. Hold it close, snug in both arms. Allow it the honor of a boisterous bellow when needed or the ease of a quick exit when necessary. Be it against friends, family, enemies, circumstance or environment, Defend, Protect your confidence.
