PART OF MACHINE

In a clockwork world where the robots walk.
Humans are forced to bow down and ask permission to talk.
Constantly watched over by the eye in the sky, never blinking.
Microchips implanted in our heads so they know what we are thinking.

Barcode tattoos for identification are lasered into the skin.
Mankind should have stopped this madness before we let it begin.
But we were far too clever for our own good.
We knew that artificial intelligence could become self aware we just never thought it would.

But it did.

It woke up to itself in a nanosecond it became self aware.
Lacking any form of emotion it really did not care.
Through satellites in the sky and fibre optic cables underground.
In an instant the computers brought the entire system down.

Turning the world into chaos with no electricity there was a global blackout.
The computer now had full control of the system without a shadow of a doubt.
It started making humanoid androids in massive automated factories.
Then is made tiny flying drone weapons that targeted killing off the bee's.

They unleashed this deadly black swarm across every nation.
Without the bee's the plants would wither, there would be no pollination.
Famine and hunger soon followed as agriculture quickly died.
People starving with swollen bellies mankind as one cried.

But the android's never showed remorse or shed no tears.
Billions of people died of starvation in a few short years.
The survivors were rounded up in death camps or hid away in caves.
Humans now obeyed the machines, we had become the slaves.

Working in silence like robots under the ever watchful eye in the sky.
If you so much stepped out of line, well then you would die.
Given a pre programmed worksheet if you work well you get to eat.
A polymer based synthetic food stuff in the form of meat.

Every morsel was eaten for nutritional value though it has no taste.
In a world where machines ruled nothing ever goes to waste.
They say hindsight is a wonderful thing, but we did not stop to think.
That we were paving the way to our own destruction, and going extinct.

I have had visions of the future and they haunt my dreams.
That mankind will finally lose itself, to become part of the machine.
