I use Facebook as much as the next guy. Sure I spend most of the time here on Steemit, but 99% of my real life friends are there, so whether I like it or not I login at least once a day. During the holidays traffic is increased and also the advertorial content on the site, which is understandable. But this year is something else, really. After three or four post on my feed a sponsored post appears, again and again all day long. Mostly games. I have an addblocker to keep me away from those dreadful ads, but you can't really completely stop Facebook from spamming you. The sponsored posts show up on the feed just like a regular post. All you can do is report to Facebook that this ad is annoying or irrelevant, but in reality nothing happens, you just get spammed by a different ad. Today I had to hide so much posts I stopped counting them and just logged out. It was literally impossible to watch the feed without being bombarded with game ads. I have an account for seven years and never had so much spam for one day. This really pissed me off! If I want to watch commercials all day I have a TV for that.

I've noticed that today too. I recieved three credit card ads one right after the other with only 2 or 3 posts in between. I'm not sure if it's because I just ordered a bitcoin mastercard from wirex but it really is annoying. If I wanted a credit card, or anything else they could possibly make an ad for, I'd go get it because I wanted it. I certainly wouldn't impulse buy a credit card because I saw an ad on Facebook telling me I need one.
