II. Car

When I was growing up in Australia, one of my best friends owned one of these and we spent countless hours fixing it up, modifying it and even changed the 1600 engine for a bigger 2 litre version. The result was for us at the time, a very fast little fun car that didn't cost much money. It was everything you wanted as a 17 year old lad.

III. Life

Make lots of noise to call out the evil spirits, scare them into the sky with giant monsters, then hide for 24h in complete darkness so that the spirits will move on to another island. This is the basic idea behind Nyepi. For over a month now I have seen people preparing for this special day across the whole of Bali. The monsters I referred to are known as ogoh-ogoh and take a fair old time to construct, some large, some small, but each one is always supported upon a bamboo frame so that it may be paraded on the streets during Nyepi.

IV. Art

JC was so much fun to do. I reminded me of the essence of any creative action- it should be fun. Jesus Christ coming down from heavens as superman (SuperJC) while Donald Trump is at the head of a convoy of tanks in the street was definitely a lot of fun to paint. Buddha is sitting on the roof, meditating, awaiting JC's arrival. Was about time bro:).
