Introducing Pablo; and Meeting Edgar's Baby!!!

Today was a great day at work as far as my little birdie friends go. Charles Wallace was in attendance, as usual. He is not any better. 👎 But he doesn't seem any worse, either. He can still chase other birds out of his territory pretty effectively.

A new bird has entered our group. Most of the birds in the "not Charles Wallace" category come and go, I cannot tell one from another as they all look too darn similar.

And then came this guy.

He's brave, he's smart, he's one hell of a dominant bird and boy can he give a mean mug.

Check out that foot. At some point, somebody captured this ganster of the Sea Gull world. But he perservered. He got away. He cannot be contained.

And so I named him Pablo Escabar. Escaped convict.

Pablo has come around several times this week. But today when Charles Wallace left to do whatever it is Charles Wallace does in his afternoons, Pablo decided he was taking up residence.

So he sat there and mean mugged me until I gave him food. 😂😂😂

He does this adorable thing where he stands up real tall if he thinks I'm about to toss him some food, like a puppy looking for treats.

But I'm a sucker, he got at least half of my blueberry muffin. Haha! Stinker. Lol

And then the best thing happened. I had guessed that Edgar was a mama or a papa.

He kept bringing food across the highway instead of eating it.

Today? Today Edgar showed up with another black bird. I heard the silly caw of a youth. People. I lost my shit. That's Edgar's baby!!!!

I will try to get a picture of them closer together on Monday, the bird on the left is half the size, and its "crow hop" is the funniest, most ungainly thing! It was so cute!

The next generation has arrived and is being taught that coming to me gets rewarded with food.

Yeah. I got all emotional and cried. Darn birds!

I am not going to pretend to be able to know the difference between one solid black bird and another. So, once the baby is indistinquishable from the adult I will begin calling them Edgar-Kin.
