Timelapse Photo #39 and Some Info About the Church Itself!

The fact that the church is for sale should come as no big surprise. The sign has been photographed along with the church and presented to you 39 times now. Lol!

But I finally got curious enough and looked it up. Wanna know how much it costs to buy a church?

Well, this particular one will set you back $210,000.

And I looked it up. As long as the "Church" does not regularly sell property, there will be no sales tax.

And of course each religion is seperate. So this larger, more dramatic church for sale a few blocks down the very same road will not be taxed either. Even though they are both Lutheran Churches.

They are both to be sold because their congregations merged with a third lutheran church last year, due to the size of their congregations falling dramatically.

For only $15,000 more you get 3,000 more square feet and an actual living quarters!

My goodness.

The road my bus takes me down is littered with churches. There must be 5 within a few blocks of the timelapse church, all on the same road.

Have you ever noticed that the number of churches in an area seems to be dramatically higher if that area is inhabited by the poor? The impoverished?

Why do you think that is? I certainly have my theories, and none of them good.

Anyway, back to our specific church.

Seven thousand, five hundred and eighty three square feet going to waste.

It's a lovely church, and honestly it bothers me that the city has not snatched it up to help our cities very large homeless population. Especially considering the very large kitchen and the new, $70,000 heating system installed.

But we're talking government now. And we all know what happens when they are involved. 😒

At any rate, it's late and my trio have a concert to perform in at school tomorrow.
