Safe distance

Before logging is complete, you must ensure that there are not at least twice the height of the tree you are about to drop. You and your coworkers must wear colored clothes or jackets or vests to be easily visible to each other and people pass through the logging area.

Plan logging

Start planning a logging job before you reduce it. Determine the direction of felling. Note the various factors that can affect logging, such as wind direction, wind strength, slope and obstacles in all work areas. Study the tree. Has it been damaged due to destruction, cracks or some other factor? Is there a risk of branches or harsh words falling from trees or from adjacent trees? Are the trees in a certain direction? Where should the trees be cut down, calculate the initial work to facilitate the next work?

For the next limbing work, it is recommended to take the appropriate work height. For example, you can ensure that the tree falls toward fallen trees, rocks or other heights in the area. Be careful with the bottom of the tree being cut down because there might be a beat there.

How far will the tree reach the falling distance?

When cutting down trees near buildings, it is important to pay attention to the distance of fallen trees. One way is to use simple geometric principles and determine the point on the ground which forms an equilateral and right triangle, which is the same distance as the tree height. This principle can be determined using a wooden stick. Hold the stick so that the distance of your eye to the stick is the same as the length of the stick, and the angle between the two sides of the triangle is straight.

The height of your eye to the ground is the same as the height of the tree which is not calculated based on the principle of this calculation. The results obtained from the calculation of tree height will be added to the distance from the ground to your eyes.
