I firmly believe how you start your morning sets the tone for the rest of your day. By setting my intentions first thing in the morning, I'm aligning myself to a higher frequency. This small act of setting my energetic vibration in the morning has shown to be a tremendous improvement in life. By choosing your mindset and attitude first thing in the morning, you're taking back your power. You get to decide how your day is going to be today. No one can take this from you.
We can't control the external stressors that we encounter during the day, but we do have control over how we'll react to them. It's so easy to let someone else's negative energy affect our mood. The workplace is a prime example of this. But you don't have to let these things ruin your day. Preventing these energies from effecting you becomes so much easier by setting your energetic vibration first thing in the morning. By attuning our attitude and mindset in the morning, we take back control over our lives.
An effective morning ritual does not have to be lengthy or complex. A simple, five minute routine has shown to be just as effective for me. I start by doing a quick body scan to assess my current state. What energies am I holding in my body and where? If i'm holding onto any negativity, I tell myself that i'm choosing to release them. What you resist will persist, so if you're suffering with letting go of certain emotions , you have to let yourself completely f e e l them. I do this by imagining those energies bubbling up to the surface. I'll take a deep breath in, and on exhale visualize those toxic energies leaving my body. I'll do this as much as I need until I feel completely void of those negative energies. I'll then go into a quick meditation. I'll decide the attitude and mindset I want to carry with me throughout the day. I'll remind myself that I choose to be in control of my life today. I've decided that today I am taking back my power. I'll relish in the positivity and happiness I feel from this choice. This quick yet effective meditation is how I set my energetic vibration for the day.
When I find it harder to get into that meditative state, simply reciting my favorite affirmations have had the same affect for me. I refer to power words or phrases that get me in the right state of mind to help me focus back inward. Or sometimes a reflective morning walk is what works the best for me that day. Your ritual should be authentic and resonate with you, whatever that may be. Whichever method you choose, the key is to not just go through the motions. You have to be fully present in that moment and actually feel that energy you're choosing to have. This is the key for setting your energetic vibration for the day.
And if you find yourself falling back into negativity during the day, just refer back to those few moments you allowed yourself to have this morning. Remind yourself that you are in control of you life and your happiness.
