Tolu was my next door neighbor, he was a corpers posted from Benue state. He was so intelligent and mature. He seemed to know math very well, and I liked him for that. My mum employed him to tutor me. At the time I was just eighteen years going to nineteen. I knew dating him would be a near impossibility but I tried to show him that I liked him. He pretended like he was oblivious to this fact for sometime. But during the Valentine season, he asked me out. I was ecstatic, finally he has accepted the truth.

That was my very first Valentine, I wanted him to spoil me and spoil me he did. We went to a Chinese restaurant, some of the cuisines there were new to me, I just allowed myself to enjoy this moment. After trying to make up my mind as to what and what not to choose. I opted for noodles with prawn sauce. The taste was amazing. We left there and went to the movies, we're we saw the movie, "the black panther". That was my first time of going to the cinema. The experience was an amazing one.
